The small print

Short and human, because there isn't much to say.

🎲 It's a free party game

Just Let's Play is a collection of free browser games for your living room. No accounts, no sign-ups, nothing to install. Open a game on a big screen, scan the QR with your phones, play. Using the site means you're okay with the few points below.

Free means paid for by somebody: the arena screen carries adverts from Google, in the cards you open rather than over a game in progress, and never on the phone in your hand. What they set and how to say no is on the privacy page.

😇 Be decent with names

The name you type shows up on the host's big screen and on a shared leaderboard that other players can see. Keep it family-friendly — a filter blocks the obvious stuff, and anything rude that slips through gets removed.

🧒 Children

This is a living-room party game for a general audience — families, friends, whoever is in the room. It is not made for children, and it is not built to keep them out either: tilting a phone to wobble a tower collects nothing about anybody, whatever age they are.

Two things are different, and both involve typing rather than tilting. Don't put a real full name on the leaderboard — least of all a child's. It is a public board, and a silly name is the better name anyway. And the cookie banner is a real decision about data: if you are under 16, let a grown-up answer it. We never ask anyone's age, so this relies on the room being sensible — which, in a room where everybody is looking at the same screen, is a fair thing to rely on.

If a child's name has ended up on a board, email and it goes.

🧹 We may tidy the boards

Leaderboard entries can be removed and whole boards can be wiped at any time — usually to clear junk or rude names, sometimes just to start a fresh season. Scores are for bragging rights, not for keeps.

🩺 Play safely

These games are played by tilting a phone while watching a screen, and some of them deliberately move that screen — Tipsy Table can lean the whole board on its own. Screen motion of this kind can cause motion sickness: dizziness, nausea, disorientation, headaches or eye strain. A small number of people can also have seizures triggered by flashing lights or patterns, sometimes with no history of epilepsy.

Stop playing if you feel unwell — dizzy, queasy, faint, or if your eyes or head hurt. Sit down to play, keep the room lit, don't play overtired, and take a break between games. If you have ever had a seizure, or you are prone to motion sickness, talk to a doctor before playing. Anyone who has a seizure while playing should stop and get medical advice.

Tipsy Table asks the host how much movement to allow every time a game starts. CALM keeps the game identical but holds the screen still, and any player can ask for it from their phone. If the movement bothers you, use it — it costs nothing.

Play somewhere safe. These games ask you to swing a phone about while looking at a screen, so before you start, look at what is around you: people, furniture, windows, televisions, stairs, drinks, pets. Give yourself room. Hold the phone properly — a strap or a case with grip is not a bad idea, because phones do leave hands.

Never while driving, and never on a screen in a moving vehicle. A car's built-in browser can open this site exactly like any other screen, and it must not be used for it while the vehicle is in motion — not by the driver, and not on a display the driver can see. The same goes for anything else where your attention is holding you or someone else up: machinery, bicycles, ladders, cooking. Park first.

You play at your own risk, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for illness, injury or loss arising from playing. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

🤞 No promises

The games are provided as-is, for fun, with no warranty of any kind. Arenas can close, scores can vanish, servers can nap. Please don't attack, overload or otherwise abuse the service — it's one small server trying its best.

If you are a consumer living somewhere else, that does not take away the consumer protections your own country gives you which cannot be signed away, and you may still be able to bring a case where you live. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, because no terms anywhere can.
